I’m an artist. Since I can remember, I’ve been doodling, drawing, painting, and collaging. In college, my mom kept telling me to start a business with my art. Now, six years later, I’m taking her advice.
Drawing portraits is a unique activity. It’s a neat way to study people and animals. For a few hours, I’m completely focused on my subject. My eyes scan a photo, analyzing the textures and rendering them with pencil strokes and careful blending. I see every, single detail and they consume my attention. I see so much in a single, still expression. And, once I’m finished, I feel as if I’ve made a new acquaintance. I want more of that feeling.
I’m now accepting commissions for pencil portraits of people and pets.
Pricing starts at $60 for an 8” x 10” portrait and $80 for a 9” x 12” portrait. To inquire, use the form below. Please state the desired subject(s) for the portrait. Thank you!
Also, I’m also selling note cards on my new shop as a fundraiser to help pay for grad school (‘cause ya gotta love tuition and fees). They feature photography from my travels in Scotland and the Czech Republic, magical places for many reasons that the photos only begin to show.
